Jean Samuel George

Mrs Jean Samuel George is a Physics major from Mumbai University. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Education, a Post graduate diploma in computers and Educational management, and a Post Graduation in English from Delhi.
Jean started her career as a Software trainer and content writer for Hindustan Levers Ltd. Mumbai , and VXL Instruments Bangalore before moving into teaching and training and has been associated with various aspects of Education for the last 22 years. (21 years of teaching experience with the ICSE scheme.)
As an anchor and a free lance writer, Jean has conducted various workshops in classroom and Behavior Management for soft skill trainers and various other aspects of the English Language for teachers of English. She has been part of the ‘Train the Trainer’ training group of people pro – a soft skill training company since 1999. She has been associated with, and has been in charge of the Sunday School at her Church for over 20 years. She ministers to teens and women as well.
At the NEDSI conference – 2018 , Rhodes Island , USA, she was one of the awardees of the David Levinne Best Paper in Innovative Teaching.
Apart from teaching and training young people, she is also passionate about travelling, reading, writing, swimming, marathons (runs for a cause), trekking and adventure sport. She has written for the Times of India and various other magazines.
Jean has been with M.G School for Excellence, an ICSE / ISC school , as the Principal since 2007 and continues to teach at the High School level. She is a member of the Executive committee of Karnataka ICSE Schools Association for the 4th consecutive year and has been part of the team instrumental in successfully conducting the Talent Search Examination in Karnataka , for the last four years. She is part of the editorial team for the Association’s newsletter. Currently, she is the President of the Karnataka ICSE Schools Association.
